Description

This is something different! You are hosted by a local family in their home at the beginning and end of your excursion.  They will cook you a local breakfast and finally a local light lunch.

Meanwhile you relax in clean and safe surroundings whilst they explain the local culture.

In-between, visit take a relaxed stroll around central San Juan enjoying the local culture and viewing local people at work and play.

We show you the real San Juan with its varied shops and restaurants, food and drinks and merchandise.

Finally, don't forget our Tips for Locals scheme where we ask you to tip local people rather than us.

Schedule (Example 10 am start)

10.00 am: Collection in a private taxi to take for a Like a Local Breakfast with your Host.

Menu includes scrambled eggs with onions, peppers and tomatoes and toast on Puerto Rican bread with butter or sandwiches, juice and oatmeal.

11.00 am: Stroll around central San Juan enjoying the local culture and viewing local people at work and play.

12.00 pm: We visit local boutique and gifts shops such as the famous Pure Soul boutique plus walk the secret but safe backstreets of Puerto Rico.

2.00  pm: Like a Local Lunch with Your Host.

Menu includes for example Arroz con Gandules, a seasoned rice cooked with sofrito, pigeon peas, red peppers, and olives plus a glass of wine, coffee, soft drink or local Gasolina or Pina Colada.

Return in a private taxi to the port and ship.

Please note that between 15th Nov and 5th Jan each year this excursion has a Christmas theme including the Christmas lights, Christmas food and wines and Christmas present surprises.
