Tips for Locals Initiative!
Ensuring your money supports local people and businesses.
Our shore excursions directly support local people and businesses by giving all tips from our guests go directly to workers at the local bars and restaurants that we visit and families who are the hosts of our Social Shore Excursions.
Most waiters and local families are on low incomes even though they work long hours.
Our initiative helps to achieve the unwritten social contract that says that if you work then you have decent housing and money for food and utilities.

News Update! The Local People Initiative
7th January 2025.
We believe that the strategy of any government planning to ban cruise ships from ports and cities is incorrect.
Passengers do not remove apartments from the local market by staying overnight in AirBNB's. They stay for a few hours and then leave on the ship.
The strategy should be to find initiatives to encourage passengers to spend more money whilst they are ashore and place money into the pockets of local people and the local area.
Hence our new Local People Initiative.
We are creating a set of initiatives to directly support local people in the ports and cities where the ships visit.
Take a look at our first initiative in Valencia by clicking below.
